LIONS BEAT WESTCHESTER TO EXTEND WINNING STREAK
The JSerra Boys Basketball team pushed its winning streak to eight in a row, as the Lions defeated the Westchester Comets, 67-50, on Wednesday at The Beverly Hills Basketball Tournament at Beverly Hills High.
JSerra (8-2) led by two points at the half, but held Westchester scoreless over the first five minutes of the third quarter, and outscored the Comets 19-8 to seize control of the game.
Senior Jarne Eyenga produced his second straight double double with team-highs of 19 points (on 8-of-11 shooting) and 15 rebounds.
Senior Dominic Bolton connected on 6-of-8 from the field (4-of-6 from three point range) and totaled 16 points and five rebounds.
Senior B.J. Davis-Ray also scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds.
