LIONS WIN THE BEVERLY HILLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The JSerra Boys Basketball team captured The Beverly Hills Basketball Tournament championship on Saturday with a 64-53 victory over Brentwood School in the title game at Beverly Hills High School.
The Lions have now won 10 straight games and improve to 10-2 on the season.
JSerra opened the game on a 14-2 run and pushed the advantage up to a 32-16 lead at halftime behind 10 points from senior B.J. Davis-Ray and eight points from senior Dominic Bolton.
Bolton hit two key three-pointers and Davis-Ray scored 12 of his team-high 24 points in the fourth quarter to help the Lions seal the victory.
Senior Jarne Eyenga posted his fourth straight double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Bolton, who finished the game with 14 points, hit 17 shots from behind the arc over four games in the tournament and was named Most Outstanding Player.
