LIONS SINK SERVITE IN TRINITY LEAGUE OPENER


The JSerra Boys Swimming team posted a key triumph on Thursday, as the Lions defeated the Servite Friars 106-64 in a Trinity League encounter at JSerra Catholic High School.

The Lions are now 2-0 on the season.

Junior Nolan Baker provided a big spark in the triumph.

Baker posted two individual victories, winning the 100 Backstroke in CIF consideration time of 55.45, while also winning the 100 Freestyle in 49.67.

Baker teamed with sophomore Joseph Wraith, freshman Dylan Park, and freshman Jack Putter to win the 200 Medley Relay in 1:45.90.

He also combined forces with Wraith, freshman Sean Hux, and senior Wyatt Boyd to help the Lions win the 400 Freestyle Relay in a time of 3:28.19.

Park claimed wins in the 200 Individual Medley (2:10.95) and the 100 Butterfly (59.17).

Putter tied for first place with Servite’s Christian Soto in the 50 Freestyle, as both swimmers were credited with winning times of 23.96.

Putter was also part of a victorious quartet in the 200 Free Relay, as he teamed with Boyd, senior Livio Galbiati, and sophomore Heath Kitcher to clock a triumphant time of 1:37.09.

Junior Chase Clements produced an individual victory in the 100 Breaststroke, as he touched the wall first in a time of 1:09.57.
