LIONS QUARTET RECEIVES ALL-COUNTY HONORS
Another season of standout and historic accomplishments produced by the JSerra Girls Cross Country team saw four runners spotlighted amongst their local peers on the Orange County Register’s 2024 All-County Cross Country team.
Senior Sophie Polay was selected as an All-County First Team honoree for the fourth consecutive year.
The Yale signee was 10th at the Orange County Championships, claimed the individual Trinity League title, won the CIF-SS Division 4 individual crown, and finished third in Division 4 at the CIF State Cross Country Championships.
Junior Chloe Elbaz, sophomore Reese Holley, and freshman Kaia Streadbeck earned All-County Second Team selections.
Elbaz placed fourth at the Trinity League Finals, third at the CIF-SS Finals, and was the Division 4 runner-up at the CIF State Championships.
Holley was third at the Trinity League Finals, fifth at the CIF-SS Finals, and seventh at the CIF State Championships.
Streadbeck, who was seventh at the CIF-SS Finals and 16th at the state meet, was one of only two freshman runners to receive the All-County spotlight.
The four harriers played a large role in helping the Lions win their 14th Trinity League title in the last 15 years and their fourth consecutive CIF-SS Division 4 and CIF Division 4 State titles respectively.
