LIONS POST IMPRESSIVE WINS IN FIRST TWO HOME GAMES
The first two home games of the season were both impressive and victorious displays for the JSerra Girls BasketballĀ team.
In their first game on their home court on this season, the Lions cruised to a 78-30 win over city neighbor San Juan Hills.
JSerra enjoyed a 10-point lead after the first quarter, but blew the game wide open in the second quarter behind a 29-2 spurt.
The sophomore duo of Vivian Grenald and Kayla Rice sparked the win, each scoring a team-high 22 points.
Fellow sophomore Shae Talleur added 14 points, connecting on four three-pointers.
JSerra followed-up the victory over the Stallions with another show of dominance against Pacific Christian, winning by a score of 72-28.
It was the third quarter that proved to be decisive for the Lions against the Tritons, as JSerra produced an overwhelming 24-3 run.
Rice was the offensive catalyst, scoring 19 of her team-high 33 points in the period.
Grenald added 12 points, with Talleur scoring 11 points.
