LIONS POST EMPHATIC WIN OVER ROSARY


The JSerra Girls Swimming team put forth an impressive showing on Thursday, as the Lions rolled to a 136-31 win over the Rosary Royals in a nonleague competition at JSerra Catholic High School.

The Lions are now 2-0 in team competition.

Senior Elle Treska enjoyed a standout day in the pool, winning both the 100 Free (56.15) and 200 Freestyle (1:59.88).

Treska also teamed up with senior Ava Withey, senior Ana Fayette, and freshman Ava Clements to win the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:46.26).

Junior Andrea Bintintan was also a two-time individual winner on the day, as she claimed victories in the 50 Freestyle (26.87) and the 100 Breaststroke (1:15.60).

Fayette also touched the wall first in the 100 Backstroke in a time of 1:07.24.

Other individual winners for the Lions included: Sophomore Claire Wilson (CIF consideration time of 2:13.57) in the 200 Individual Medley, senior Caroline Powell (CIF consideration time of 59.21) in the 100 Butterfly and senior Sydney Willson (CIF consideration time of 5:12.89) in the 500 Freestyle.

Powell, senior Danielle Shin, junior Juliette Ey, and junior Gabby Elbaz finished first in the 200 Freestyle Relay in a time of 1:58.66.

Willson, freshman Maddie Moore, Elbaz, and Wilson joined forces to win the 400 Freestyle Relay with a clocking of 3:53.76.
