The JSerra Boys Cross Country team was once again one of the best teams in the state this season and two members of the team earned county recognition for their seasonal performances by being selected to the Orange County Register’s 2024 All-County Cross Country team.

Senior Bradley Arrey was named to the All-County First Team.

Arrey was sixth at the Orange County Championships, won the Trinity League individual title, placed fourth at the CIF-SS Division 4 Finals, and produced a sixth place finish at the CIF State Cross Country Championships.

Fellow senior Taye Newman was honored on the All-County Second Team.

Newman placed fourth at the Orange County Championships, was the Trinity League’s runner-up, placed seventh at the CIF-SS Finals, and crossed the finish line in 11th place at the CIF State Championships.

With Arrey and Newman spearheading the team, the Lions won the Orange County Championship for the first time in school history before finishing runner-up at both the CIF-SS Division 4 Finals and the CIF State Championships for the second consecutive season.
