Coach Wright started playing softball when she was 8 years old in local recreational leagues. In high school, she was a three-year letterman and played on a variety of travel teams competitively.

She was blessed to travel all over the country for tournaments, and more than anything, enjoyed spending countless hours on the field with her dad. Colleen “retired” from playing competitive softball at the end of high school and began playing co-ed intramural softball in college.

After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and moving home, she became the JV Head Coach for one year at Santa Margarita Catholic High School before starting her teaching career.

She joined the JSerra coaching staff in 2016. She coached for two seasons before taking a break to have her two children, who are now 3 and 5. She is back for her second season and is looking forward to building the faith, intellect, and character of the JSerra student athletes.
