The JSerra Ice Hockey team enjoyed a successful weekend on the ice, earning two victories in ADHSHL action and officially clinching a postseason berth.

JSerra began the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Faith Lutheran of Las Vegas on Friday at the Great Park Ice Rink in Irvine.

Sophomore Landon Pacheco scored the first goal of the game in the first period, assisted by junior Cassius Millett.

Millett recorded the second goal in the second period with the assist supplied by sophomore Griffin Blake.

Sophomore Caden Fernandez capped the scoring for the Lions with a third period goal, with Millett providing his second assist.

Senior Casey Ecker recorded 24 saves.

The Lions enjoyed their best scoring output of the season on Saturday, as they overwhelmed Central Cathedral 12-1 at the San Diego Ice Arena.

Sophomore Griffin Blake led the scoring barrage with five goals, increasing his team-high for the season to 31 goals.

Millett also had a hat trick, scoring three goals.

Pacheco, Fernandez, sophomore Emmet Murphy, and senior Jacob Pacheco each added a goal.

JSerra will close out the regular season with a game on Saturday against Pacific Ridge at Lakewood Ice Rick.

The puck is scheduled to drop at 3:10 pm
