LIONS ROLL PAST SERVITE TO OPEN TRINITY LEAGUE
The JSerra Boys Basketball team tipped off Trinity League with an impressive triumph on Friday night, as the Lions ran past the Servite Friars 80-38 at JSerra Catholic High School.
The Lions are now 15-3 overall on the season.
JSerra led by four after the first quarter, but used a 28-point second quarter to open up a 42-25 lead at halftime.
The Lions defense dominated the Friars throughout the second half, limiting Servite to only 13 points.
Senior B.J. Davis-Ray connected on 8-of-15 from the field and scored a team-high 23 points, while also grabbing six rebounds.
Junior Brannon Martinsen shot 9-of-14 from the field and added 20 points and six rebounds.
Senior Jarne Eyenga recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
