The JSerra Ice Hockey team put forth its most dominating performance of the season to date on Saturday, as the Lions blanked Corona-Norco 9-0 at the Lakewood Ice Rink in Lakewood.

Sophomore Griffin Blake scored a power play goal less than a minute into the game and the Lions were off and running.

Sophomore Caden Fernandez scored less than two minutes later and sophomore Paul Franklin added two more goals to spark JSerra to a 4-0 lead at the end of the first period.

The Lions added to the lead in the second period.

Blake tallied his second goal, Franklin completed his hat trick, and senior Jacob Pacheco scored a goal to increase the Lions’ advantage to 7-0.

Blake produced two goals in the third period to cap his team-high four goal performance, with both coming on assists from Franklin (who had a team-best four in the game).

Senior goalie Casey Ecker had 17 saves.

JSerra is now 6-7 on the season.
